Services & Visits

At Integrative Family Medicine we offer high-quality services to promote natural healing.  These can stand alone or, in many cases, be combined depending on the recommended treatment plan created during your initial visit.  If you have an interest in combining multiple methods of treatment please let us know and we will be happy to discuss alternate scheduling and pricing options with you.

Pricing will vary* based upon your individual insurance plan or self-pay plan:

Insurance Patients are responsible for the Specialist co-pay listed on their insurance card at the time of the appointment and/or any additional charges incurred upon return of submitted claim.

Self-Pay Patients are responsible for full payment at the time of the appointment.  Prices may be adjusted depending on duration/frequency of appointments at the physician's discretion.

If you have questions or concerns regarding any information below please do not hesitate to contact us or visit our FAQ page.  We want you to experience the benefits of holistic medicine and will work with you to make a visit possible!

Dr. Michael Geis, D.O.
Dr. Minna Kim, N.D.
Dr. Sylvia Cimoch, N.D.

Accepted Insurances*
Aetna, Anthem/BCBS, Cigna, Connecticare, and United Healthcare- Oxford plans issued in the state of Connecticut.

Every plan is different so we recommend that patients contact their insurance provider to see if they cover office visits with Naturopathic Physicians and if Dr. Kim is in-network.  We also recommend finding out any in or out-of-network deductibles that may apply to the visit.

New Patient Office Visit
1 hour 15 minutes

The initial visit will involve a lengthy discussion of your health history and current issues/symptoms.  Based off this conversation we will create a plan for potential dietary and lifestyle changes, natural treatment options, supplementation, etc.  Dr. Kim or Dr. Cimoch will also issue a lab-request form if we need more information regarding your health.

Return Patient Office Visit
45 minutes

Return visits will vary based on your needs at the time of the appointment.  During this visit we will check in regarding your health and progress and can make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.  We can also take this time to answer in-depth questions/concerns, discuss lab results, etc.

Acupuncture Treatment
45 minutes

Acupuncture treatments vary greatly based on your needs at the time of the appointment.  We can use the time to treat a specific issue or simply give you 45 minutes to rest and relax.  Please note that treatments (both face-up and face-down) require access to bare skin so we advise wearing loose comfortable clothing.  The key to receiving optimal benefits from acupuncture is consistency; we recommend returning either weekly or bi-weekly for treatment.

Additional Services
Varies

Dr. Kim and Dr. Cimoch are also available for phone consultations.  Extended acupuncture sessions are also available if deemed safe and appropriate for your current condition.

Accepted Insurances*

Dr. Geis does not currently participate with individual insurance companies and is billed as an out-of-network provider.  Patients are responsible for payment in full at the time of service.  Forms are generated in the office for patients to submit to their insurance providers.  Every plan is different so we recommend that patients contact their insurance provider to see if they cover osteopathic manipulative treatments or trigger point injections, and to determine their out-of-pocket deductible.

New Patient Office Visit
1 hour 15 minutes

The initial visit will involve a discussion of your health history, current issues/symptoms, comprehensive physical exam and an osteopathic structural exam. Based off this information Dr. Geis will create a plan of your treatment options including: potential lifestyle changes, targeted exercise and strengthening  prescription, supplementation, etc.  Dr. Geis includes osteopathic structural assessment and treatment during all sessions.  Dr. Geis will also recommend the appropriate referral, diagnostic studies and lab-request forms as needed.

Return Patient Office Visit

45 minutes - 1 hour

Return visits will vary based on your needs at the time of the appointment.  During this visit we will check in regarding your health and progress and can make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.  Often this will involve continuation of previous osteopathic manipulation or other procedures.  We can also take this time to answer in-depth questions/concerns, discuss lab results, etc.

Dr. Geis will no longer be practicing at the NYC office starting 5-16-16.  He will instead be available Monday through Friday at our Stamford office.  Please contact the number below for questions or to schedule an appointment until 5-16.
